Momma always warned me my sinful ways were going to catch up with me, o my readership, and they certainly have today. Guess who, I find, is going to be appearing in the upcoming Robert Rodriguez grindhouse special, Machete?
Those of you who said “Paris Hilton”, NO, you clever, clever readers you. But what I’ve got is almost as entertaining. It’s LINDSAY LOHAN!
Seriously! La Lohan herself is going to be showing up in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete. At least, that’s at last report–the IMDB still has her credit as “rumored”, so it may or may not be accurate. In a way, this is kind of a sweet idea. Lindsay’s career has been on the slow slide to nowhere for the last couple years, pretty much ever since her breakup with Samantha Ronson and of course her go-round of I Know Who Killed Me. That canard would kill anyone’s career.
This may, however, be the start of a turnaround for her, maybe even a shot at scream queen status. How it works, though, we’ll have to wait to find out.

Director Eli Roth has a lot of hard work in front of him, as he has announced his intention of shooting his next two films back-to-back.
The first will be an unannounced big budget sci-fi action film.
"I don’t want to give away the title yet, because I have to make sure I own it 100%, but it’s going to be something that is really fun with lots of mass destruction,” he said. “I wanted to do something along the lines of Transformers or Cloverfield that was a little more science fiction-based.”
Following that, he wants to shoot a full-length film based off the fake Grindhouse trailer “Thanksgiving”.
“The plan is this: I want to do a huge budget movie, but tack on three weeks to the end of it and shoot Thanksgiving,” he revealed. “I want to do an $80 million dollar movie, and then schedule three weeks at the end to quickly shoot a $5 million dollar movie.”
Good luck, Mr. Roth.

Zombie is in the news once again. Rob’s work on Werewolf Women of the S.S., a fake trailer attached with Grindhouse, will be branching out to comic books. He revealed on his MySpace blog that plans are underway to bring the trailer’s world to the print medium, with "everything you ever wanted to know about Project Pure Wolf but were afraid to ask!"
No publisher or other details were revealed. However, with Comic-Con around the corner, I don’t think we’ll have to wait for too long to find out.
