Wiseman on Gears of War

Director Len Wiseman recently sat down with Bloody Disgusting to talk about his upcoming projects, revealing some interesting tidbits.

First up, Wiseman talked about the film adaptation of Gears of War, a popular action game for Xbox 360, saying that he plans not to make one film, but a trilogy of films based on the franchise.

“The hope is that were wanting to do a three movies and really cover the bases on everything,” he said, adding that they want to make it a “harder edged Lord of the Rings.” Wiseman further adds that the tone will be more sci-fi than horror. “It’s going to be much more [on the] science fiction side of it than the creature side of it.”

Chris Morgan and Wiseman himself are penning the script right now.
