Next Batman in 2011

new-dark-knight-batman-wallpaper-2.jpgOver at a Comic-Con panel for the upcoming Book of Eli, actor Gary Oldman, who played Commissioner Gordon in both of director Christopher Nolan’s Batman films, leaked a few words on the third Batman flick: “We start filming the next ‘Batman’ next year, which means it won’t come out for another two years,” Oldman said, “but you didn’t hear that from me.”

It’s a surprise that we’d hear news of this from a completely unrelated panel event, but it’s a delight to hear nonetheless. Warner Bros. still hasn’t announced anything official, and a representative of the film studio even declined to comment. So, in all technicality, it’s still a rumor, even if it’s coming from a major actor’s mouth. We’ll still keep our eyes peeled for Nolan’s third Batman film, though.

The Unborn is a horror, supernatural film written and directed by David S. Goyer. Goyer is known for holding various functions on Dark City, Blade, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. At best, he can turn out a pure horror script. He is probably one of the most prolific writers of the genre.

The Unborn trailer can be view at MTV where you can read Goyer’s blog about the movie as well.

Just watching the trailer you see how Gary Oldman and Odette Yustman, take their roles seriously – it’s intense.  The trailer starts off slow but gets super intense near the end.
