Holmes Meets Eli

Katie Holmes joins screwball legal comedy-drama series “Eli Stone” as a special appearance playing an attorney who appears mysteriously and leads her to Eli. The episode airs October 21.

Holmes work includes the former young adult show “Dawson’s Creek.” She starred in the films “Pieces of April,” “Wonder Boys” and “Thank You for Smoking.” She is now on Broadway in Arthur Miller’s play “All My Sons.”

Reported on UPI news via the ABC network, “Eli’s latest vision comes to him in the form of a gorgeous, confident brunette singing to him. He discovers to his surprise that the girl — Grace — is real after he meets her at a baseball game, and he and Grace embark on a whirlwind romance.”

The movie business is a little quiet these months but cable television is hot, hot, hot news.  EW sent me a piece on Katie Holmes working with her buddy from Dawson Creek days, Greg Berlanti whose bringing Holmes on the critically acclaimed Eli Stone for one episode this fall. Awesome, Holmes is going back to television for a tad.

Berlanti executive produces Eli Stone and was the executive producer for Dawson Creek.

You can also find her on Broadway doing a stint with the revival of Arthur Miller’s play All My Sons, which is one of my favorite Miller plays.   All I can say is — Go girl!
