transformersHey kids…can you spell disaster?

If you spelled it E-H-R-E-N-space-K-R-U-G-E-R, then I knew that you could.

Kruger’s Hollywood resume is almost as nighmarish as the serial slasher who shares his name.  He’s been responsible for such low-rent fare as The Skeleton Key and Scream 3.  Though he did have a little something to do with Blood and Chocolate, it’s not much reason to hold out hope.  Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

But now, Kruger’s going to be sole writer for the Transformers 3 script, as the other two writers of Transformers 2 have bugged out.  Considering his track record thus far, it’s not boding real what you’d call well for the third installment of the gigantic cash cow of a series.

Scuse me while I go looking for some comfort whiskey, while I count down the days until the release of this next grotesquerie on our childhoods when Transformers 3 comes out in 2011.

Kruger Hit by Bullet

n65101 Boston Teran’s “God is a Bullet” is next for Transformers 2 scribe Ehren Kruger, who will be adapting the novel into a screenplay.

The story follows a California lawman as he goes undercover to rescue his daughter who has been kidnapped by a gang of criminals.

Kruger is doing the project with his producing partners Daniel Bobker and Bradley Bell. It is hoped that he will direct and produce the project with a production company, much like the arrangement that was made last year with StillKing Films to adapt “The Keep”.

Egan-Cover Variety reports that Rogue Pictures will produce a film version of the novel The Keep by Jennifer Egan. The site notes that Ehren Kruger (The Ring, Skeleton Key) has adapted and will produce the thriller that revolves around a mysterious prisoner who seduces a local woman with his tale of a supernatural secret. Matthew Stillman is also attached to the film as a producer.

Not much else is known about the film at the moment, but more is expected as it goes into pre-production.
