Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Elijah Wood and Cam Gigandet have been enlisted as test subjects in upcoming psychological thriller The Experiment.

The film will be a remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel’s award-winning German film Das Experiment, which focused on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study that examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants.

Brody is set to play the leader of the prisoners; Whitaker plays a guard who is corrupted by the power he is given.

Shooting begins next month with Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring in the director’s chair.

Unable to leave behind his vampiric roots, Cam Gigandet (Twilight) has joined the cast of upcoming horror western Priest.

Being adapted from a TokyoPop comic book, the film will explore a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. It follows a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.

Gigandet will play a young wasteland sheriff who is part vampire. He partners with Paul Bettany (the priest) to save the girl he loves – the Priest’s niece.

Scott Stewart is set to direct.

Twilight star Cam Gigandet will star opposite Leighton Meester in upcoming psychological thriller The Roommate, reports Variety.

The film will follow a deranged college freshman who becomes obsessed with her new roommate.

Gigandet will play the boyfriend of Meester’s character.

The film has been penned by Sonny Mallhi and is being directed by Christian E. Christiansen.
