Ever since Twilight hit the big screen production companies are lining up shows and movies about vampires. Daybreakers, which I think is a very unique movie, is one and “True Blood,” a dark, twisted cable show, is another one about vampires in the south. “True Blood’ is a little racy for most television, but the show has a real bite.

For more than a hundred years, larger than life characters, many of whom are members of logging families who go back to the time when the West was being settled – have spent their days among towering trees and powerful machines and their nights in outposts far from the comforts of civilization. AX MEN tells the remarkable story, detailing the history of the logging industry and how technology has transformed life for today’s logger, while the struggle of man versus nature stays the same.
This season, AX MEN picks up with two of Oregon’s top logging companies from last year, J.M. Browning Logging of Astoria and Vernonia’s Pihl Logging. Adding to the competition are three newcomers, each bringing something different to the table. Rygaard Logging of Port Angeles, Washington, a fiery father-son team; R&R Conner Aviation of Conner, Montana, which utilizes helicopters to maximize its output; and S&S Aqua Logging of Aberdeen, Washington, a team of diving loggers who fish for timber in some of the Pacific Northwest’s most treacherous waters.

“Well, I read the script last year in the fall and pretty much by page three I thought, this is pretty great,” Oscar winner Timothy Hutton talks about his role in TNT’s Leverage. “I like the character I was reading, Nate Ford. And I like the set up. I like the idea, this guy having once been an insurance investigator, now working with these hackers and these thieves and these con artists. And I – it was a pretty well-rounded story for me, a lot of drama, a lot of levity, as well. It felt like a good caper story. So it was something that I was interested in right away.”
I just viewed the first two shows of Leverage which premieres Sunday, December 7 at 10:00 PM, and then all new episodes on Tuesdays beginning December 9 at 10:00 PM. The story line is similar to Mission Impossible with disguises and stings to help someone in need.
The new MTV show “Busted” premieres Monday. The show is apart of a new daily programming block Mondays through Thursdays of 20 new half-hour episodes of each series with “BUSTED” airing at 6p.m.
