Blindness opens today. I’ve read that it’s been re-edited since the Cannes Film Festival. After the re-edit with a screening at Toronto Film Festival reviews were much better and more positive.
The movie Blindness is based on Jose Saramago’s book “Blindness.” The story allows the readers to embrace the idea of humanity for those who are forced to rely on each other when their sight has left them. The blindness is a while glare, which results in chaos, degradation and lack of civility.
I have two copies of the book “Blindness” by Saramago. As we all know, the book is never like the movie. Although you may find some similarities.
You have a chance to win the book by posting your name and I will draw the winners Thursday, September 25th. Good luck!
The Blindness new trailer tells you more about the story. I am captivated and want to see the movie. Here are a few review quotes that have recently been published: “Julianne Moore is brilliant in the lead role, a smart woman who figures out quickly that her secret is a commodity, but something she can use for a greater good.” — Incontention.com “The film received a fairly prolonged standing ovation at last night’s screening,…” — Cinematical
This Blindness trailer is the best so far; it tells the situation of the plot very nicely.
