Here is a wonderful featurette about James Cameron’s Avatar. The featurette offers more details about the story, how the story developed and where the characters have been and where they are headed.
Although I have seen better bloopers, I did find this interesting. The tight quarters of how J.J. Abrams shot the film is clearly seen in this blooper film. Abrams ability to keep the ensemble cast upbeat is also revealed. Star Trek DVD will be out soon, which I am sure includes bloopers. Enjoy!
ET’s behind-the-scenes look at Nine, the movie musical based on the provocative Broadway show, articulates vibrant and stimulating women who were apart of world-famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis). The women include his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penelope Cruz), and his film star muse (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Judi Dench), an American fashion journalist (Kate Hudson), the whore from his youth (Fergie) and his mother (Sophia Loren). The film is directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago). The movie will be in the movie theatres November 25, 2009.
Nine looks great
Watching the macho men jump from wires and fight like men who are half gods is pretty cool. Only, I can’t understand a word their saying. But it’s fun to watch and looks like it will be an incredible movie. I love Sam Worthington and I still think he’d make a great Frank Sinatra in Scorsese’s movie about the blue-eyed icon.
Now here’s an interesting bit of news–in case you were still on the fence about seeing David Carradine’s last movie, The Golden Boys, despite the review I gave it just a couple days ago, this might get you a bit more interested.
There are three clips roaming around YouTube–entitled Sister Schooner, The Three Stooges, and Acting Method–taken from the featurette interview with David Carradine on the DVD. Each is just over a minute long, with Sister Schooner weighing in at about a minute and a half. I’ve included The Three Stooges at the bottom of this clip, with links to the other two. The Three Stooges, for example, has Carradine discussing his involvement with co-stars Bruce Dern and Rip Torn. You’d be surprised what he thinks about them!
These three clips will help give you a little extra background on The Golden Boys, and if my review isn’t sufficient impetus to get you to grab a copy, these three just might be. It’s really very good stuff, so I encourage you to see it.

Spielberg is on the set of The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn with fellow actors Jamie Bell and Andy Serkis. You can see the whole picture by going to Empire. When the Empire Magazine hits the newsstands you can read the article about what’s happening with Spielberg’s new motion-capture spectacular movie.
The picture to the right shows Spielberg talking with Tintin (Bell) and Captain Haddock (Serkis). The picture gets bigger at Empire, so you can see the actors with their CGI outfits and dots on their faces. It’s a pretty cool shot.
Pixar is set to have another great year with Up, a timeless story.
If you have ever been in a musical, you know what it means to find your key. Hopefully, the musical director is very understanding. It looks like Meryl Streep got the key she wanted to Mamma Mia! What a lucky girl!
In the spirit of today’s holiday (Happy Halloween) I thought you might want to check out some new behind-the-scenes clips Screenhead just received to gear up for the release of Hellboy II: The Golden Army (on DVD and Blu-ray 11/11).
The first clip gives inside look at the special effects involved in bringing the characters to life.
This clip touches on the casting choice for Princess Nuala and her storyline in Hellboy II.
