Ashton Kutcher in this role is perfect. He plays Nikki who isn’t a gigolo but a sexual grifter, a fun-loving, freeloading hipster who understands his greatest assets are his looks and sexual prowess, which he uses to charm his way into the hearts of the city’s richest women and enjoy their lifestyle.  Nikki gets a free place to live, fantastic gifts, A-list access, and plenty of sex.  The women get to feel young, beautiful… and utterly fulfilled in the bedroom.  It’s a mutually beneficial set-up, or is it?

Nikki’s latest conquest is Samantha (Anne Heche), a stunning middle-aged lawyer who gives him more than he’s ever had before.  But then he meets a gorgeous waitress his own age named Heather (Margarita Levieva).  She comes to visit Nikki at Samantha’s house while Samantha is out of town, sees what an incredible place it is… and well, comes to the mistaken conclusion it’s his.  Unbeknownst to Nikki, Heather lives by playing the same game.

When Samantha comes home, she discovers Nikki’s infidelity and he’s put out on the street.  With nowhere else to turn, Nikki pulls out all the stops to win Heather over and they begin to form their own kind of bond.  Sexually charged by a game of one-upsmanship, each shows the other their best grifts, and they unexpectedly begin falling in love – the one thing they can’t do in the life they lead.  Soon, the truth of their unfolding relationship forces a choice between love and money, and Nikki has to decide whether he can live on his own once and for all in the hopes of finding something real. Movie opens August 14, 2009.

Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher will star in the Lionsgate thriller Five Killers.

Film reteams Heigl with director Robert Luketic, who most recently directed the actress in forthcoming romantic comedy The Ugly Truth.

The story starts off where a woman meets the man of her dreams while on vacation. Married bliss is turned upside down when they discover that their neighbors may be assassins hired to kill them.

Film starts production next month in Atlanta and the south of France.

Kutcher is Traded

Ashton Kutcher is once again tackling a comedy, as he is being reported to have joined the cast of Traded, an upcoming football comedy in the works at Paramount Pictures.

The film will center on a superstar NFL quarterback and a 12-year old middle school geek who magically trades bodies and then learn lessons about humility and courage.

The most recent draft was written by David Stem and David Weiss. It was originally being developed by Dreamworks, but was handed over to Paramount last fall.

Kutcher is Neurotic

guardian080406 Cinema Blend reports that Ashton Kutcher is attached to romantic comedy American Neurotic for Sony Pictures.

The film will have Kutcher play a New York womanizer with commitment issues who confesses the details of his conquests to his psychiatrist. However, soon afterwards he meets his dream girl. But, as expected, there’s one problem – the girl is the shrink’s daughter.

Quite unsurprisingly, the rest of the film will see the shrink and Kutcher’s best friend try to keep the couple from getting together.

A director is currently being sought for the project.

Ashton Kutcher is set to star in Lionsgate’s Five Killers with Robert Luketic directing the action comedy.

Kutcher is set to take on the role of a former hit man whose life is turned upside down because someone from his past has paid a group of killers to bump him off.

Filming is set to start early next year.
