"The Hurt Locker"
“The Hurt Locker” is a fascinating and suspenseful portrayal of courage under fire of the military’s unacknowledged heroes: those technicians of a bomb squad who volunteer to save lives doing one of the world’s most dangerous jobs. Three members of the Army’s elite Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) squad battle rebels and one another as they disarm a wave of roadside bombs on the streets of Baghdad to try and make the city a safer place for all of its inhabitants.
Their mission is to protect and save—but it’s anything but easy. This film is a fictional tale inspired by real events by journalist and screenwriter Mark Boal, who was embedded with a special bomb unit in Iraq. The movie gets its name from the soldier vernacular to speak of explosions as sending you to “the hurt locker.” Starring: Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty, Ralph Fiennes, and Guy Pearce. Release scheduled for June 26, 2009.

The Red Baron is one of the most famous guys to ever have flown a plane. You might have heard of him before but you’ll definitely remember him after you see the movie. Who was The Red Baron? Who killed him at the end? The movie doesn’t answer these questions as historians failed to do it so far. He was a great pilot but was he as good a person? Is the hero we see here an actual hero? Let’s not forget it was still a war and he did do his best and more to shot down 80 enemy fighters. He would have killed more if he had the chance.
The Red Baron is a movie you should consider watching. It has everything you’re looking for. There’s romance, action, excitement and a hero dies at the end. I have not ruined the ending for you. I couldn’t have since it’s based on actual events. You’ll have to watch it for the aerial display if you’re a plane lover. The dog fights are amazing but I would have expected more minutes to be dedicated to actual plane fighting.
Besides Matthias Schweighöfer who’s playing the Red Baron you’ll recognize Joseph Fiennes whom doesn’t need an introduction anymore and Lena Headey, the leading lady in The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Yes, she’s John Conner’s mom. Still hot but not as dangerous in here.
