I like this three some if Amy Adams closes a deal with Relativity Media and co-stars with Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg in The Fighter.
The story is true to life and very deep. Adams would play a gritty bartender from Massachusetts who ends up dating Wahlberg’s character, “Irish” Mickey Ward.
Mentioned in Variety, the movie starts shooting this summer and tells the story of Ward’s early days on the rough streets of Lowell, Massachusetts and how he was helped to the world lightweight championship by his half-brother, portrayed by Bale.
The gritty bartender is a great part for Adams to stretch her talent and shine. The role is quite a contrast to her next film coming out Julie and Julia alongside Meryl Streep. Adams also finished production on romantic comedy Leap Year.
Leap Year has added another cast member, Kaitlin Olson, who has joined Amy Adams, Bill Nighy, Matthew Goode and Adam Scott, in the romantic comedy about an American woman (Adams) who goes in search of her boyfriend in Ireland. She desires to marry her boyfriend and can propose to him on Leap Day, February 29. According to Irish tradition, he has to say ”yes.”
Olson is set to play Libby, the married older sister of Adams’ character, Anna.
Now here is a dramedy that promises some light and serious moments. Headed by renowned actress Meryl Streep, she teams up with upstart Amy Adams based on on Julie Powell’s book “Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen.”
Julie Powell recounts how she conquered every recipe in Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking and saved her soul. Julie Powell is 30-years-old, living in a rundown apartment in Queens and working at a soul-sucking secretarial job that’s going nowhere. She needs something to break the monotony of her life, and she invents a deranged assignment. She will take her mother’s dog-eared copy of Julia Child’s 1961 classic Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and she will cook all 524 recipes. In the span of one year.

This trailer appears to be slightly different than the first one I posted. There is more details and more frames of General Custer, which I think he is going to steal the show. Enjoy!
The quality of this trailer is poor, but still it’s a good trailer in that it you get to meet the characters. Not much of the story is explained in the trailer, but the fact that Amy Adams stars with Ben Stiller is good enough for me. I also like the actor who plays General Custer.
