So far Megan Fox has played mostly damsel-in-distress type roles, but all that is about to change when she becomes a demon and eats boys at the local high-school in Jennifer’s Body.
A couple of new grainy pictures from the film have popped up online courtesy of Empire and Film School Rejects. They show Fox and her co-star Amanda Seyfried in bloody dresses, looking quite disturbing.
Written by Diablo Cody, the film follows Fox, a mean cheerleader-type, possessed by a demon who starts eating boys at the school. She is to be saved by her best friend (played by Seyfried) who must first escape a correctional facility and go after Nikolai (Adam Brody) and his Satan-worshipping band who are responsible for the demonic transformation.
The film is set for release this Septemer.
From Variety comes word that Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Redgrave, Gael Garcia Bernal and Franco Nero will star in the upcoming romantic film Letters to Juliet.
Being adapted from a book by Lise and Ceil Friedman, the film will follow a couple (Seyfried, Garcia) who take a trip to Italy and receive a note meant for Shakespeare’s fictional lover Juliet Capulet. Redgrave plays the woman searching for a young man who romanced her during a long-ago vacation in Italy; she scours Tuscany to find the older woman’s long-lost love, who is played by Nero.
Gary Winick will direct. Filming starts this June in Italy.
From Entertainment Weekly comes word that Zack Snyder has gathered an assembly of young actresses for his upcoming action fantasy Sucker Punch.
Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone are in talks to star in the film. Set in the ‘50s, it will follow a girl named Babydoll (Seyfried) who is taken to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days.
During this time she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help her get out before she is deflowered by a vile man.
The other four actresses will play Seyfried’s fellow inmates who also travel into the alternate reality.
Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried will star together in Chloe directed by an Atom Egoyan.
The thriller follows Moore who plays a successful doctor with a sneaking suspicion her husband (Neeson) is cheating. She decides to test his devotion by hiring an escort (Seyfried) to seduce him. Complications arise from the doctor’s scheme, which places her family in danger.
Erin Cressida Wilson wrote the script. Shooting starts February 9 in Toronto.
Amanda Sefried’s next starring role after the big hit Mamma Mia! is Dear John. Lass Hallstrom directs the adaptation of Nick Sparks bestseller.
Sefried plays a young woman who falls in love with a soldier while he’s on leave.
Channing Tatum also stars.
