Doc Ock will be making his appearance as an evil magician in Disney fantasy film The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Alfred Molina stars in the movie centered on an average college student (Jay Baruchel) who reluctantly works for a sorcerer named Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage). He is given a crash course in the art and science of magic to prepare him for a battle against the forces of darkness, including the evil magician Horvath (Molina). The final battle takes place in Manhattan.

As expected, Baruchel has a love interest in the form of Teresa Palmer. The project reunites the National Treasure team – Nicolas Cage, director Jon Turteltaub and producer Jerry Bruckheimer – and starts filming this month in New York.

Variety reports that Disney’s “Prince of Persia” has signed Alfred Molina, who joins Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and Ben Kingsley in the Mike Newell-directed adaptation of the Ubisoft fantasy action game, now movie.  

Molina will play Sheik Amar, who becomes a mentor to the prince.

Shooting is slated to begin in July in the U.K. and Morocco.
