Hilary Swank is going French with a bestselling book “French Women Don’t Get Fat.” Swank is producing a film from this book, however starring in the film may not occur. Swank’s idea is to adapt a romantic comedy about the manager of a champagne company who learns some tough life lessons.

The book was first published in 2004; non-fiction book became a bestseller for writer and former Champagne Veuve Clicquot topper Mireille Guiliano. The book offers insights on how French women manage to stay slim despite enjoying such calorie-rich fare as wine and pastries. Yum!

The book became a New York Times non-fiction bestseller and continued on to sell well over 1 million copies in the U.S. and more than 2 million worldwide, where it’s been translated into 40 languages.
