Stone Joins The Tudors

The NME reports that British singer Joss Stone has joined the cast of The Tudors. She will play the role of Anne of Cleves, the fourth wife of Henry VIII.
Anne, daughter of a German nobleman, was betrothed to Henry in a marriage treaty between the Cleves Court and the King’s chancellor after he was shown a portrait of her. Upon her arrival in England, Henry was disappointed in her looks and found a legal way to have the marriage annulled.
Stone will join the show’s third season which is about to go into production for airing on television early next year.
