Steve Carell, the funnyman who played Maxwell Smart, reprises his role in the next sequel of Get Smart. Variety featured a story about Steve Carell’s new first look deal with Warner Brothers. The studio is mobilizing a sequel for Carell to return as Maxwell Smart.
It goes on to say that the “Get Smart” sequel will NOT be part of Carell’s three-year overall pact with the studio, but does mention that the deal will allow him to “cross pollinate” the professional relationships he has made from Second City up to NBC’s “The Office” and beyond. Well, whatever that means, I’m sure a lot of you guys would want him back! I definitely would.
