Some wacky rumours have emerged regarding the casting of the new Star Trek movie. Apparently Paramount wants (but won’t necessarily get) the following actors for the following roles:

Kirk - Matt Damon
Spock - Adrien Brody
McCoy - Gary Sinise
Scotty - James McAvoy

Not sure what to make of that, other than it will be weird to see such big name actors embodying such well known roles.
