Shin-ChanOkay, if you’ve caught any Adult Swim over the last couple years, then chances are you’re familiar with the hilarious adventures of a foul-mouthed, good-natured kindergartener in the grandest anime style.

Well, the guy who created the original manga that the Shin Chan anime was based on went missing back on Friday.   Seems he left a note that he was going hiking for a day on his favorite hiking grounds around Gunma Prefecture, as he often did.  A day later, no one heard from him.  His family, somewhat concerned at this point, called his mobile phone and got no response.

This is, of course, shockingly bad news, and hopefully, the guy’s all right and just dropped his phone or something while making his way out slightly delayed. But by all accounts, the police have the situation well in hand, so hopefully he’ll be found in short order.
