I never watched “Sex and the City.”  So, I can’t comment on the television show or the movie, which is opening this weekend. Most likely, I won’t see the movie.  It’s not that I’m turned off by the show. It’s just never fit my schedule.  However, I know that there is a craze or a large following, but the speculation is that ‘Indy’ will out perform the four girls at the box office. With that being considered, here is Anthony Lane’s review of “Sex in the City” in The New Yorker.

“Secrecy has clouded ‘Sex and the City’ since it was first announced. When would the film appear? Who would find a husband? Would one of the main characters die? If so, would she commit suicide by self-pity (a constant threat), or would a crocodile escape from the Bronx Zoo and wreak a flesh-ripping revenge for all those handbags?”  Review continues at The New Yorker.
