Schwarzenegger to Appear in Terminator 4June 1st, 2007 in Actors, Movie News |
A member of the cast of the upcoming Terminator 4 film has confirmed that Arnold Schwarzenegger, now the governor of California, will at least be making a short appearance in the film. Marcus Schenkenberg, who has just signed on to be in the sequel, is the source of the information, and says that Arnold will be making a 30 second cameo in T4.
Halycon already had a deal in place, and is ready to immediately start production on a new franchise of Terminator flicks. Terminator 4 will be based on a script written by Michael Ferris and John Brancata.
The potential is there for them to make a good series, although without Arnold playing much of a role in the film(s?) I wonder how successful they will actually be. Will they just be bad sequels trying to live on past glory?

[...] The first Terminator movie was pretty cool. Terminator 2 was awesomeness defined. T3 left a lot to be desired, even if it had a hot female killer robot. What can we expect for Terminator 4? It’s hard to say for certain, but one thing we do know is that Arnold Schwarzenegger (yes, I spelled that without having to look it up) will definitely be in the fourth installment of the futuristicly-thrilling franchise. Unfortunately, it’s only going to be a 30 second cameo. [...]

It should still be fun. All in all, the Terminator series has been excellent. And it’s good to see that the Arnold is not abandoning the role - which he easily could have done as Governor. Like Fred Thompson, Arnold is a fascinating mix of actor and politician - continuing to mine both, all part of the Fame Game.
