To promote the release of the School For Scoundrels: Unrated DVD, the ever publicity savvy folk at the Weinstein company have come up with a decent little online game.
School For Scoundrels: Fight Dirty is a bit like the old Nintendo Duckhunt game – for those old enough to remember – where you basically get points for shooting stuff on screen only it’s in various School for Scoundrels related situations like paintballing and shooting spitballs in class.
As online promotions go, it could be a lot worse. You can upload images to shoot at your enemy of choice – perfect if you’ve recently been dumped, given detention or overlooked for a deserved promotion – but after accidentally watching ten minutes of The Phantom Menace this weekend, I chose to shoot paintballs at George Lucas’ beardy face. It didn’t make up for the prequels but it sure felt good.

This looked so sad I decided to pass it over. Even the cool online game doesn’t have me mildly excited to see it.
