The United Kingdom’s “Thorpe Park” is set to open a SAW-themed rollercoaster in Spring 2009. The coaster will feature a “beyond verticle” drop 100º from a height of 100ft, which makes it not only the steepest freefall drop in the world, but also is terrifying 4.5 G-force experience. The track is 2363 feet in length total, and riders will also endure three inversions. Lasting 1 min and 40 seconds, 30% of which is spent in the station building, the ride was made by Merlin Entertainment who has been working with Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate to ensure total accuracy of all of the key elements from the SAW movies.
