Savante joins Starship Troopers cast

Stelio Savante, one of South Africa’s most successful acting exports to Hollywood is home in Cape Town filming Starship Troopers Marauder in which he has a supporting lead role as Bull Brittles. Savante is making his first visit to South Africa in eleven years but will not have to wait long before his next return. He has been cast in A Million Colours scheduled to shoot later this year in Johannesburg. After relocating to Hollywood from New York to shoot eleven episodes of Salma Hayek’s Ugly Betty which premiers on South Africa’s MNET in just two weeks, Savante flew to South Africa to start filming a 6 week schedule on the sci fi action adventure which co stars Casper Van Diem, Jolene Blalock and Marnette Patterson. Savante also made Elle Magazine’s Hot 40 list for the second year in a row.

You know, the funny thing is, Paul, that guy looks exactly what Rico should have looked like in the first movie - he looks pretty close to the soldier in the book. Maybe this third movie will come closer to bridging the gap between the book and the film this time around.
