Husband-and-wife team Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida wrote an original screenplay, which Sam Mendes will direct. Production on the film is set to begin in the spring.

The untitled film follows an expectant couple while traveling through the United States in search of a place to put down roots and raise a family.

Dave and Vendela are quite well known among the literary community. Both are published authors and create edgy, funny, and moving work.  Enter Mendes with a theater background and a true master.  Well…you have a great film in the works.
