Actor Mark Ruffalo’s directorial debut Sympathy for Delicious appears to have come back from the dead after the project went to oblivion after the death of Ruffalo’s brother and the film’s tar James Franco having to depart due to other commitments.
Reports indicate that Orlando Bloom is set to take over the lead from Franco, with Laura Linney having won the female lead role.
The film will follow a paralyzed DJ who is struggling to survive on the streets of LA. He turns to faith healing and mysteriously develops the ability to cure everyone who is sick – except for himself. The DJ then decides to cash in on his gift in exchange for his rock n’ roll dreams.
Production begins next week in LA.
