IGN reports that The CW is looking into developing a new show dubbed The Graysons which will be based on the early days of Robin, Batman’s colorful sidekick.
Aimed at replacing Smallville, which is likely in its final season, the Graysons will tell the story of Dick “DJ” Grayson before he takes on the role of Robin and aligns himself with Batman.
The show will explore the life of young DJ as he faces various challenges including, but not limited ot, first loves, rivals and his own family.
Smallville executive producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson have come up with an original take on the character; they are joined by Supernatural executive producer McG.
