Here! Kev. I read Rendezvous With Rama over 25 years ago ... and then Gentry Lee's sequels when they followed. But it's Arthur's book that got me enthralled with the concept. Yes, maybe it could really happen. But thats Arthur C. Clarke's sci-fi for you, all his books are like that. And so I've been watching and waiting for this movie adaptation since I first got wind of it many years ago. Every now and then a snippet of information appeared. Now this ... too hard! Nobody willing to back it. Give them more of what they know! Still, it would be a hard act to follow in the footsteps of 2001. The preeminent sci-fi movie of all time. Look what they achieved with 1960's technology in that. After 30 odd years it still hasn't been matched, let alone beaten. I saw Rama doing that ... but then I'm just a dreamer. Thats a crying shame; not only is it a marvellous book, but, with recent hysteria about 'lord of light' coming down in spaceships, very relevant. If its going to happen, its goig to be like 'Rama'. anyway, another great idea in production hell, and probably another Hollywood remake about to hit the screens. A crying shame... K Hi.
