New Regency has hired Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean’s Thirteen) to adapt Josh Bazell’s novel Beat the Reaper.
Being developed as a potential star vehicle for Leonardo diCaprio, the drama revolves around a Manhattan ER doctor whose life becomes complicated when a mobster recognizes him from his former life as a hitman.
DiCaprio himself, Julie Yorn, Aaron Criswell and Jennifer Davisson Killoran are producing.
