Film website RottenTomatoes.com announced winners in the ninth annual Golden Tomato Awards. The site annually compiles reviews from print, online, and broadcast film critics to measure the percentage of favorable critiques. “Ratatouille” and “Once” were favorites amongst both critics and moviegoers alike, and have snagged top honors in the awards.
“Ratatouille” earned a 96% rating on the Tomatometer, and was chosen as the best reviewed wide-release movie of 2007. Irish romance “Once” scored an impressive 98% rating, and snagged awards for best limited release film and best musical.
Golden Tomato Awards were also given for various other film genres, including:
- Best Romance: “Atonement”
- Best Action/Adventure: “The Bourne Ultimatum”
- Best Comedy: “Juno”
- Best Thriller: “No Country for Old Men”
- Best Drama: “Away From Her”
