Rainn Wilson Hosts ‘Spirit Awards’

Sanctioned by the WGA, Rainn Wilson will wear the hat of host for the Film Independent’s 2008 Spirit Awards.Thanks to a waiver from the guild, Wilson, a WGA member, will also help write intros and kudos for the awards program. Known for starring in “The Office” star also briefly appears in multiple Spirit nominee “Juno.”

As usual the program and celebration takes place in a tent on the Santa Monica beach, February 23rd, one day before the Oscars. Independent Film Channel broadcasts the program live, uncensored 5 P.M. ET.

I wonder what innuendos will be said about the strike.
