Pirates of the Caribbean co-writer Terry Rossio has denied the various rumors floating around the web concerning a fourth Pirates film.
He simply stated on his blog that none of the recent rumors “have any truth” including the recently reported big paycheck for Johnny Depp.
Rossio also added that the Tim Burton and Sacha Cohen attachments to the film were “pretty funny stuff”, noting that “studios are way too protective of their franchises for that sort of thing.”
So, there you have it: the only thing confirmed about Pirates 4 is the attachment of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.a
