It appears that Jim Carrey’s black comedy I Love You Phillip Morris has finally found a home in Consolidated Pictures Group, who has acquired distribution rights to the film.
Written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the story follows Carrey as a married conman who falls in love with his cellmate (played by Ewan McGregor).
The film made a big debut at Sundance to very good reviews, but the edgy content meant it had so far struggled to find distribution.
It is now set for release on Valentine’s Day 2010.
