Cannes Film Festival runs May 14 - 25, 2008.

Prior to the Festival, the Cannes board of directors “appoints four juries who hold sole responsibility for choosing which films will receive the blessing of a Cannes award. Jurors are chosen from a wide range of international artists, based on their body of work and respect from their peers.”

Sean Penn will hold the prestigious role of jury president. He won the best male performance prize at Cannes in 1997 for “She’s So Lovely” by Nick Cassavetes.
