Penguins Still Dancing, Baby Jesus Sad

The Nativity Story movie posterDancing penguins who sound like Robin Williams are still inexplicably popular, with Happy Feet holding onto the number one spot at the box office for the third week in a row. James Bond continues to take cover behind the penguins – very secret agent-like – with Casino Royale holding on to the number two spot, and Deja Vu providing just that by holding onto third place.

The Nativity Story was a disaster. Costing $35 million and opening nationwide in 3,183 theaters the big budget school play took just $8 million. Ouch.
