Okay, I think I may have seen one of the creepiest horror movie trailers in quite some time–it’s called Paranormal Activity, and it’s been on the fence as to whether or not it’s been coming out for literally years now.
But the decision seems to have been made–there will be no remake, it’s coming out as-is, and it’s coming to theatres September 25th. I only hope it comes to a theatre near me because this is the CREEPIEST thing ever.
At least based on a true story, this is about a young couple who believes their house is haunted. To that end, they set up a slew of video cameras around the house and start taping things. What they find will terrify them.
And it’ll terrify you too–the trailer is directly below. I’m definitely looking forward to this one, folks; it’s like what the Blair Witch Project would have been if it hadn’t been a complete pile of suck instead. I only hope I can manage to find it playing somewhere nearby.

I loved Paranormal Activity. I saw Blair Witch when that first came out and it just didn’t do it for me. The whole cinematography part did not impress me, but I found that Paranormal Activity did it right. However some of my friends disagree with me and say that while PA was a good movie, BWP was a much better overall product especially given that it helped to establish a completely new sub-genre. We cant seem to come to terms so I made a little poll to show them what the rest of the world thinks, please take a minute to vote: http://www.dipoll.com/index.php?poll_id=555
Good story above, love to see all the press that PA is getting with such a small production budget!
