All right, folks, the official updated list of theaters for Paranormal Activity, which managed to land on wide release following the one millionth vote garnered last Saturday night for it, has just been released and the release is indeed much wider than it was, though rural dwellers, once as always, you may prepare for disappointment, as many of you will be overshot.
I checked for my nearest theater just to see if I could manage to find it, and it turns out the nearest theater is an easy fifty mile trek…one way.
But one thing is perfectly clear, this IS a “wide release“, even if not every theater on the face of the earth will be getting a print. Plus, you never know–it may filter down to a closer theater in a couple weeks. Plus, the original press statements all suggested that final lists would be out by Friday, and today’s only Wednesday. There may be more to come.
So one way or another, horror buffs, you should be able to clap eyes on this little fella within the next little while, assuming you haven’t already.
