Paramount Launching Facebook AppMarch 11th, 2008 in Movie News |
According to Variety, Paramount will be launching its own Facebook appliation, will make thousands of clips from the studio’s film archives available to share among friends. Facebook apps, if you’re not aware, a small plug-ins embeddable within the social networking site, that let you do everything from share your favorite movies to quiz your friends.
With the Paramount app, we assume you’ll soon be able to send clips from your fav Paramount films to friends, who can then have the clips play on their Facebook page.
How’s this any different from popping in a YouTube video? Easy, it’s authorized and legal. So you don’t have to worry about putting up an illegal video of a show, only to have to worry about it getting taken down later.  Paramount will also be including a little button at the end of each clip that will take you to a place you can buy the DVD.
