Before “Juno†Ellen Page starred in “The Tracey Fragments,” which opens May 9 in Gotham with a wider release to follow.
“Fragments” features Page as 15-year-old Tracey Berkowitz, who is searching for her missing tween brother. She’s worried she’s hypnotized him into thinking he’s a dog.
Based on screenwriter Maureen Medved’s novel of the same name, the story is a collection of monologues about a troubled teen. The film uses split-screen techniques and jagged time to represent the teen’s addled thoughts.
