Genius Products and The Weinstein Company along with Special Ops Media, has emailed us here on Screenhead regarding the release of Jonathan King’s outlandish humor and graphic gore in his feature film debut.
The film entitles “Black Sheep” tells the story of Henry Oldfield (Nathan Meister). He returns to his family’s farm to sell out to his older brother Angus (Peter Feeney), he learns that Angus’ reckless genetic engineering program has infected thousands of sheep on their sprawling New Zealand farm and turned them into bloodthirsty predators. Featuring outstanding special effects by the renowned WETA Workshop (King Kong, Lord of the Rings), including masterful use of puppets and robots, “Black Sheep” is a gory bloodbath drenched in black comedy as the heroes make their way through a spectacular rural landscape, dodging ravenous rams with blood-smeared fleece.
With a talented cast of up and coming actors, this film is destined for horror cult glory. The Black Sheep DVD arrives with five deleted scenes, a blooper reel and much more. The DVD’s will officially be released on October 9, 2007.
