I read an article about how the Oscars will be completely different and more expensive to run if the writers are still striking, per the producer Gil Cates. Also, there are lots of film clips to explore with 80 years of Oscars.

Sounds like a different take on the Oscars, which I believe we could all enjoy. Why not have an Oscar show heavy on clips and short on star power?
