NBC’s Heroes Adds Yet Another Cast Member

nichols.JPGAfter watching the season finale of Heroes earlier this year, I was left wondering how they will move the storyline forward into another season.  The major dilemma of the first season, the one we’d been waiting for all along, was pretty well resolved in the finale, although there are some questions as to whether or not certain characters are really dead or not.   It seems as though NBC’s approach for the sophomore season of Heroes is to add more characters, and lots of them.

Dania Ramirez,  Nick D’Agosto, David Anders, Barry Shabaka Henley, Eriko Tamura, Holt McCallany, Lyndsy Fonseca, Dana Davis, and Dianna Aragon have already been revealed as new cast members for season 2, and today, it was revealed that Nichelle Nichols (of Star Trek fame) will also be joining the cast of the show.

Nichols has signed on for a limited engagement to play the role of the grandmother of Monica, a new genetically advantaged recruits.  Nana will be based in New Orleans and is expected to appear in five or six episodes.

The first season of Heroes undoubtedly had a lot of characters to fit in each episode, and I’m just wondering how they are going to make it work this next season with so many more characters… unless they kill a few people off.

That’s two original Star Trek members, including George Takei. I wonder if she’s a member of that previous generation we see in Volume 1.
