Mr. Untouchable, which hits U.S. theaters on October 19th, is the true-life story of Harlem’s notorious Nicky Barnes. Barnes, a junkie-turned-millionaire in the 70’s, is considered to be the most powerful black drug kingpin in New York City history, and is fondly referred to as the “Black Godfather.” Mr. Untouchable takes its audience deep into the world of Nicky Barnes and the 1970’s heroin industry.
Barnes came from humble beginnings, and eventually worked to make himself and his buddies richer than they could have ever imagined. Barnes legacy as one of NYC’s most infamous drug lords was sealed when the New York Times put him on the front cover with the title “Mr. Untouchable.” It was shortly after that that his world came crashing down, and Barnes found himself facing life imprisonment without parole, and began to name names. Included in the film is first-hand testimony from Barnes himself.
If you like real-life stories, with all the R-Rated goodness of sex, drugs, and violence, then be sure to head out to the theaters on October 19th when Mr. Untouchable makes its debut.
