Director McG (Terminator: Salvation) is in talks to turn Broadway rock musical Spring Awakening into a feature film.
The musical is set in 19th-century Germany, following a group of teens discovering their sexuality and dealing with various topics like masturbation, abortion, rape and suicide.
The musical is based on an 1891 German play; it was developed by Sater and rocker Duncan Sheik who turned it into a runaway Broadway success.
