Matthew McConaughy, who doesn’t need another excuse to take off his shirt, will soon find himself frolicking in the warm Hawaiian sun as he’s been tapped to take over Owen Wilson’s vacated role in the Ben Stiller produced comedy, Tropic Thunder. Fortunately, it’s just a small role and amounts to nothing more than an uncredited cameo. If only they could limit Jack Black’s role to that as well, I might actually get excited about this movie.

Tropic Thunder is a comedy about a group of actors who gather on a remote island to shoot a big-budget war movie, and are then forced to actually become the soldiers that they are playing. It stars Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Jack Black, and is scheduled for a 2008 release.
