‘Max Payne’ Trailer — Awesome

July 13th, 2008 in Action, Actors, Adventure, Fantasy, Movie News, Trailers, Video Games

Another trailer came my way — Max Payne– based on the video game of the same title.  Mark Wahlberg stars in this movie. A very appropriate role for Wahlberg; he’s Max Payne. The action sequences are tour de force.  Beau Bridges also stars, which is a real treat for the audience because he is a very strong, confident actor.

Enjoy the trailer!

Looks like the director was watching Sin City a lot when making this. But less stylish.

  2. Kenna McHugh Says:

I had the same thought watching it too — just a hint here and there.

  3. Hupp Says:

Erm, the style of Max Payne was established well before Sin City was made. (I.e. classic noir/pulp, which really isn’t terribly original…)

  4. Kenna Says:

True and a heard that the pulp fiction genre is on a huge comeback.

  5. Tom Says:

Guys, wait for the official trailer to hit our screens here in the UK. I hear Metsuo are involved with some music on the film and these guys are AMAZING!!

the Lord has answered my prayers ;)

  6. Kenna Says:

Tom, I just listened to Metsuo on YouTube. Amazing. I can see how their music plays into the overall film.

  7. Tom Says:

yes, they are very cinematic and dark. check them out on http://www.myspace.com/metsuo

  8. Kenna McHugh Says:

Me too. It will awesome. Thanks for sharing.

  9. eugene Says:

who does the music in the trailer?

  10. Kenna Says:

I am not sure. That is an excellent question. You’d think Metuso since they are doing some music for the feature. Anybody know?

  11. pastry25 Says:

No that music isnt Metsuo, not sure who that is. Metsuo have music in the movie itself and have also provided the end credit “theme tune”

  12. Kenna Says:

Check out the latest Payne trailer http://www.screenhead.com/reviews/max-payne-awesome-trailer/
I just posted at Screenhead. The music sounds different, better, I bet this is Metsuo.

  13. pastry25 Says:

no the music in the trailer is apparently marilyn manson

  14. Kenna McHugh Says:

Thanks for the details. I guess, we’ll just have to wait for the feature film to hear Metuso with Max Payne.

  15. Tom Says:

i’m not totally sure, but i think this existing trailer is for the States (and obviously internet) only. Its not shown on TV, but there will be a trailer for European TV though, which will appear this month i would expect (since the movie is coming out next month) And its quite likeley they’ll use Metsuo for that one…they do the end credits as well and thats usually the theme tune that is being used for those marketing purposes.. but lets wait and see… EXCITING!!!!

  16. Kenna McHugh Says:

Yes, we shall see…the hype is growing, so yes it is EXCITING!!!!

  17. AlexG212 Says:

I think the the music in the trailer is IF I WAS YOUR VAMPIRE by MARILYN MANSON.

  18. Kenna McHugh Says:

You could be right. I am not aware of music that much to even guess. Unless it’s a Broadway showtune.

  19. Dbag Says:

The song is “If i was your vampire” by Marylin Manson

  20. Kenna Says:

Awesome. Thanks so much for letting us know.

  21. Tom Says:
