So Matt Damon was out hawking Invictus recently, and naturally, the conversation turned to thoughts of the fourth installment of the Bourne Identity series. Matt had previously said that there was no way he’d come back without Paul Greengrass being involved, and since Paul Greengrass recently said he was out like bellbottoms, that naturally left Matt Damon bugging out too.
But in that Invictus hawking, Matt filled us in on a little known factoid:
“I’ll just wait for him and when he wants to do one, we’ll do it. I’ve always said that. But I think it will happen down the road. We just don’t have a script right now.”
Interesting. Seems Matt’s figuring there’s a decent likelihood that Greengrass will recant his position and come BACK to do the fourth Bourne, thus allowing Matt himself the chance to come back too. A tidy little scenario, I’d say, and one I know Bourne fans are actively and relentlessly hoping happens.
