Live-action TMNT Film Coming
September 3rd, 2008 in Action, Writers
Hopes for a live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been rekindled by none other than series co-creator Kevin Eastman who has confirmed that a new live-action movie based on the franchise is being talked about.
The film is primed to be a “re-invention” in the vein of the Batman films, going “back to basics, back to the origin and the intro of the Shredder, etc.,” said Eastman.
Eastman is so confident about the project that he has contacted and asked the original TMNT film director Steve Barron to come back and “do it right.”
The most recent entry in the franchise was a CG animated film that managed to do pretty well at the box office.
