"Lions Den"
Shipped off to prison for allegedly killing her lover, Julia learns she is pregnant and is sent to a high-security maternity ward to serve her time. Now her only concern is her son. Her fellow inmate Marta becomes her friend while her mother SofÃa, her adversary.
One tries to teach her how to be a mother and the other wants to take over raising the child. “Lion’s Den” is filmed in a real prison with inmates as extras, and focuses on motherhood behind bars. An official selection of Cannes Film Festival. Not rated, Spanish. Opens July 3
