Going for a nice, catchy name, Barry Levinson has directed a documentary about the just-completed Democratic and Republican national conventions dubbed Polliwood. It will be released by indie distributor Screen Media Films.
The documentary features interviews with a host of showbiz names including Anne Hathaway, Susan Sarandon, Alan Cumming and several political notables. It blends footage from the floor of both conventions with separate sit-down interviews to provide a snapshot of the 2008 presidential race.
Polliwood will hit the festival circuit sometime next year.
